Don't miss the great Farmer Tan at the Press this Sat.!
9/18/08 - Thanks to Chris Shinkus at Thrillpill, all of HT's music is now available here on humantherapy.com and on HT's MySpace page at www.myspace.com/humantherapymusic! Thanks Chris!!! More web news coming soon ... standby. XoX MR.

8/25/08 - Hey, good news on the CD front: All of HT's records are now available at Rhino Records, Claremont's venerable, independent record store. One of the few left standing ... If you're in So. Cal., please stop by and pick up the new HT record, "It's So You," the anthology, "Let it Breathe," or either of the two classic re-releases, all on Hot Tramp Records. Thanks! MR.

8/20/08 - Sorry about neglecting the Site folks. Here's a couple scraps of news and info: to all of those who have signed our Guestbook and are wondering why their witty comments haven't yet appeared, I am sorry, but I blame Italy. The entire country. Really though, I love Italy. I even made one of my kids there. However, about a year ago we became inundated (that's too mild a term really) with between 25 and 100 spam guestbook signings per day, all from Italy. Strange right?!? It was such a drag to have to go in and delete them every night that I just quit updating the guestbook. So, now that I'm pretty sure the spam storm has passed, I plan on going in and deleting all of it (there are about 20,000 ... it'll be a while) so that the actual law-abiding HT fans can see their name in lights. So standby for an updated guestbook. ALSO, standby for the new HT Store! I'm currently at work courting the lovely and talented Chris Shinkus at Thrillpill to help me add an online store, so that all of HT's records will be available here. ALSO, still waiting to get HT's music on iTunes. That's the next thing I have to monkey around with ... Anyway, that's all for now. If anybody would like to purchase the new 8-song HT opus "It's So You" right now, just drop me an email at info@humantherapy.com. Danke everybody. Reporting from the new HT Headquarters in Claremont, CA, this is MR signing off ... XooXoox.

7/8/08 - HT RULES! Just had to get that outta my system. Well, sorry for the big lag on updating the Website. We are moving right now, so all is wacky here. So, the 6/21/08 show was a blast and kind of a sentimental journey as well. Sergio Jimenez, the one and only, made a very, VERY rare appearance. Regaling us with stories at rehearsal, and sitting in to play "American Dream" with us, just like it was 1982 again ... sniff ... Really folks, it was a special night for us and for a roomful of friends, some of which we hadn't seen in a looong while. After the show we all sat around and traded stories. There was much laughter. Funny how I'm getting more sentimental as I get older. Check out the PHOTOS tab for some great shots (thanks to the lovely and talented Mike Matzdorff!) from the show! I'll update with more info soon. Thanks to everybody who came out for the show. XoX MR.

6/9/08 - The HT records are DONE! I am SO proud of what we are about to unleash on y'all. Nothing could have happened without the talents, time and friendship of Chris Shinkus or Gavin Ross. Thank you fellas from the bottom of my punk rock heart. Also big thanks and shout out to Rockin' Johny Huber for another great Cavalcade flyer. Everyone please come out to the show and celebrate with us. The eight-song EP of new material, "It's So You," the complete retrospective (26 tracks!) "Let it Breathe," "The Sky Falls" single (with bonus track "the Dub Falls" remix!), and the classic first single "American Dream" will all be available at the show. More info soon. XoXOXOO!! MR.

5/23/08 - Well, the first two new HT cds, the "American Dream" EP and "The Sky Falls" single are at the printer now. They'll be done the first week in June some time. "The Sky Falls" has a bonus track, "The Dub Falls," a remix of "The Sky Falls" by the great Gavin Ross, that will blow your dang minds. The other two CDs, the anthology "Let it Breathe" and the new record, "It's So You," are in the final art direction/design stages (by the lovely and talented Chris Shinkus at Thrillpill) and will be ready in time for the June 21 HT show at the Press. Phew! This record business business is nutty! I'm busing my ass, and is Chris is REALLY working hard. Can't wait to show off the new releases 6/21! XoxoXo, MR>

4/21/08 - Update on the June 21 HT show: we have the distinct pleasure of welcoming the Cornfed Project on to the bill! That's right, tattoo-master Matt Wheeler's musical alter ego, Cornfed, will be making its live debut at the Press with HT! XoOXOXO MR.

4/21/08 - Update on the upcoming HT records: I've axed the live tracks from last summer. Just couldn't get the quality to match up with the other stuff. Maybe we'll give it another try at the June 21 show and see if we can't get a better recording this time. Everything else is coming together, including liner notes by Tony Reflex, of Adolescents fame, for the anthology, "Let it Breathe." Tony's an old friend of HT's and we're honored he's going to be part of our record. We've had a bit of a hiccup in the studio - some of the tracks Gavin had mixed and mastered somehow disappeared - but not to worry. We are still on schedule for a May release for all four records. XooX MR.

4/3/08 - The HT records are coming together. Along with a bunch of unreleased music there will be a few live tracks (thanks to our friend Mike Matzdorff) from the 6/16/07 show at the Press, and, amazingly, a couple tracks from a rehearsal cassette tape from ... 1981! These songs were recorded on Bill's dad's boombox, placed on top of my guitar amplifier. More amazingly, the quality is pretty good! It'll be freaky to be able to buy 27-year-old boombox rehearsal music on iTunes but that's Human Therapy for ya. All the stuff is sounding great. Gavin Ross is doing an amazing job. Still more recording will take place in June at Steady Studios, so expect to be hearing about that after the June 21 show at the Press. Happy Birthday Sara!!! XoxooXOo MR.

3/19/08 - Producer Extraordinaire Gavin Ross at Steady Studios is nearly finished remastering and remixing (where possible) the upcoming Human Therapy releases ... I can tell you there will be some surprises, including a dub version of "The Sky Falls," tentatively titled "The Dub Falls." !!!! In addition, Art Director Chris Shinkus is busy on the design of all four records as well. More info to come soon ... XoXOOXo MR.

3/4/08 - Well, the June 21 HT show at the Press is going to be something special: not only will the band be doing a rare live show, HT will be celebrating the release of FOUR new Human Therapy records! HT's ENTIRE catalogue, a pile of unreleased rarities, seven new songs, the two original HT records ARE ALL GOING TO BE RELEASED in May! The folks at Hot Tramp Records are feverishly at work on art, logos, remixing and remastering as we speak. Along with the re-release of our two Dr. Dream Records seven-inchers (both with their original art!), there will be a compete retrospective, including everything HT recorded (about 30 tracks, plus seven new tunes recorded last summer). Also to be released separately is "Let it Breathe," an EP of just the new material. Standby here for more news very soon. Needless to say, we are beside ourselves with glee that we will finally get our new and old music out to the world. Strange how things work out ... XoOXoXOXOOXXooX!!! MR.

2/6/08 - Just booked: Human Therapy at the Press in Claremont, CA, Sat. June 21! Standby for more info ... XoXOo, MR.

1/23/08 - Well, I guess we have to move on, right? Feels wrong to get on with the rah-rah self-promotion, but I guess we have to go on. Before I do, let me just say that we have been spending far too many Sundays at memorials over the past year or so. Can we all please do our best to get healthy this year? Really folks, get yourselves checked out. Every little thing. Sometimes something that might seem like nothing can really be something. And eat green vegetables. And drink more water. Okay, enough. So, yeah, music. This weekend we have a great show to pimp: "Only Love Can Break Your Heart," a Neil Young tribute show. The super cool and super talented Wyman Reese has been putting on these shows periodically over the past year or two. He's done the Stones and Tom Waits, and I'm hoping he gets to the Replacements one day. Anyway, I'm singing a couple songs and I'm really looking forward to it. Wyman's band is just reeediculous. Absolute monsters every one of 'em. Should be fun. Come out and see for yourselves. I'll buy U a drink. XXOo MR.

1/10/08 - Yet more sad news: our friend Pete Matzdorff lost his short, courageous and inspirational battle with Leukemia on Jan. 7. All of us in HT loved Pete dearly, and send our love out to his wife Heidi and the entire amazing Matzdorff family. Services are set for Sunday, Jan. 13. Check this link for more info: http://pjsprogress.blogspot.com/2008/01/memorial-service.html. Rest in peace brother Pete ... MR.

12/17/07 - Sad news: our old friend Alden French passed away last week. Alden was on hand in the early days of HT. He was a Glendora kid who was always at the center of things and having a laugh. We will miss him, as will many others. There is a memorial at 11:30 a.m. this Thursday, Dec. 20, at Glenkirk Church in Glendora. The church is located at 1700 Palopinto Ave., Glendora, CA, 91741.

9/10/07 - Great Cavalcade this past Sat. The Joneses were amazingly good. Those songs ... those songs ... they're perfect. I'll never tire of those songs. Jeff Drake and Co. delivered the goods and then some. The Press was PACKED! The Flamethrowers soldiered on despite another PA problem at the Press. It's time for a new PA at the Press! Anyway, thanks to Robin Banks for allowing me the freedom to do this show, to Rockin' Johny Huber for his amazing graphics work designing my flyers, to Wyman Reese and Larry Jackson for saving my ass with a new PA head, to the Press, despite their PA, to my lovely wife for allowing me the freedom to pursue my dream of making no money whatsoever but having a damn good time doing it, to Rocko Ochiatto for getting Jeff Drake to agree to play the Cavalcade, to the guy who helped us with the crap PA (I don't remember his name but thanks!), to all the people who came out from points afar (Tim Napalm - Austin, TX, Eve Connell and Cathy Riccio - Portland, OR, English Jim - England!, "Hippie" Dave Hayes and his lovely wife from Bullhead City, AZ, and all sorts of people from the West Side and the South Bay, as well as the regular Flamethrowers faithful). There were a lot of new faces at this Cavalcade, which was great to see. We celebrated Kurt Rash's 46th birthday in typical style, and were even treated to a drunken old-guy fight at the end of the night! Wow. Thank you one and all. I don't know what I'm gonna do for the next 'Cade but I better come up with something outlandish because this one's gonna be hard to top. XoOXOXOOXoX ... MR.

8/15/07 - I just picked up the rough mixes of Human Therapy's seven song opus, tentatively titled "The Time Piece," from Gavin Ross up at Steady Studios in Burbank. The thing sounds amazing already, and will only get better as we finalize the mixes and master it. I'm not sure if I will release it myself or shop it around. We'll see. Check back here for updates soon ... This stuff brings a tear to my eye, believe it or not ... XoOXoXO MR.

6/20/07 - WoW! This past week's HT show was ridiculous! We have lots of news: the band was in the studio on the day of the show for eight hours and we laid down seven NEW SONGS! SO, the retrospective HT CD that will be out at the end of the summer will now include new material!!! We also recorded the live show (thanks to Mike Matzdorff!), so stay tuned here for live tracks to be posted. We have lots of folks to thank: the Lovely Robin Banks, Mike Matzdorff, Rocko, Bobby Eras, ROA, Gavin Ross at Steady Studios and everyone that drove or flew from far and wide to see HT. I'll have all sorts of photos up soon, so keep checking back.

6/2/07 - Well, well, WELL! I just got off the phone with the one and only Sergio Jimenez. He's living in the Phoenix area, still playing music, and is doing great. It was a kick catching up with him and yakking about the old HT crowd. Such a great guy that Sergio. We sure miss him ... Anyway, he may be coming to the June 16 show. Let us all cross our collective fingers. XXXXXooMR.

5/14/07 - A little change for the June 16 HT show: Cosmo couldn't make it, and one of my oldest friends, Rocko Ochiatto, who played bass in HT way back in 1984 (he's playing bass in the "No More" video), will be manning the low end once again! We're thrilled to have Rocko with us again ... XoMR.

4/12/07 - Sorry for the long delay in updating the Site but there have been all sorts of musical goings on in my life. The Flamethrowers have been in the studio, as have I, doing solo stuff, and the Millstones have been recording as well. All us Human Therapites are geeked up for the June 16 show at the Press! This time we're doing our regular six hour rehearsal the night before, and then adding another layer of difficulty by going into the recording studio the next afternoon, then motoring out to Claremont for the Press show that night! Should be a great weekend for HT. Also new this time is our old friend Lio Gnaulati is opening the show. If there was anything approaching musical justice in this world (and there ain't), we'd be reading about the naughty exploits of the Gnaulati brothers in Mojo instead of the Gallaghers ... More updates coming soon. Oh, here's an update already: the Flamethrowers are playing Hootenanny this year!!! More on that later ... XoXXo MR.

1/29/07 - Wow. Wow. WOW. The Flametrowers set the Press on its ass Saturday night, tearing through two blistering sets of rock 'n' roll. I know I'm in the band, and I'm not supposed to brag, but jeeze man, we were f-in' good! Jeff Moses was just sick. SICK I tell you. What a great guitar player he is. And new boy Chris Shinkus was spot on and then some after just two rehearsals. Kurt was his usual rockstar self, playing to a packed house at the Press, soaking it up, and feeding off the energy from the crowd. Ed was his usual evil, steady self, propelling the tunes perfectly. I was fantastic too, and had an excellent chapeau. Thanks to all that turned out for the Winter Cavalcade '07. It was the best crowd we've have yet, and the bar apparently broke some sort of sales record, which says a lot about the Flamethrowers! Great night . Thanks to all who attended. Those who missed it missed a great one ... Next Cavalcade is June 16 starring HUMAN THERAPY! XoXO MR.

1/16/07 - The Jan. 27 Cavalcade will be dedicated to Big Mike Campbell, who passed away, way too young, on Jan. 12.

1/8/07 - Everybody please pray for our old friend Big Mike Campbell, who is seriously ill and in hospital in Las Vegas ...

12/14/06 - Just confirmed for the Winter '06 edition of Mick Rhodes' Cavalcade of Unknowns, The Flamethrowers! That's right, the kings of trash, the loud, the proud, the Flamethrowers will bring the rock to the Press on Sat. Jan. 27, 2007. Check out the Photos and Flyers pages on this Site and see the Flamethrowers tabs there. Standby for more info .... XoXo MR.

11/28/06 - Human Therapy is threatening to play live this summer, probably in June. I'll post news here as soon as we have something confirmed. XoXO MR.

11/28/06 - A belated report on the Nov. 4 Mick Rhodes' Cavalcade of Unknowns show. This one was poorly attended. Too bad too, because Preston Smith was amazing. He was a one-man-band-jazz-soul-blues-MACHINE. I'm hoping that the Jan. 27 Cavalade has a more enthusiastic crowd ... We'll have to see. Maybe the Cavalcade needs a new home? I dunno. Sigh. MR.

10/20/96 - Well, turns out the Oberbeck family's flush with medical insurance and actual jobs and all that stuff (musicians with all the grown up stuff in place ... who knew?!?), and although appreciated the thought, asked that we just throw ourselves a regular old Cavalcade and forego to the charity. SO, I am thrilled to announce that the great Preston Smith will be bringing his bag of blues and jazz soaked tricks to the Press for the Nov. 4 Cavalcade of Unknowns! Those of you that are of a certain age may remember Preston from his 1980s band Preston Smith and the Crocodiles, and since then he's been rocking on his own and with his crack band. This night promises to be like nothing else we've ever seen or heard at the Cavalcade, and you will be hypnotized, nay SPELLBOUND by Preston's artistry and humour. Sometimes it's fun to use Olde English spellings. Opening the show will be yours truly, Mick Rhodes, accompanied by six-string sleight of hand man Greg Durschlag. Come one come all! XoX MR.

10/11/06 - Well, the Nov. 4 Mick Rhodes' Cavalcade of Unknowns will be a special one. This time I'm going to call on all my talented friends, and the other ones too, to come out play for our injured friend Danny Oberbeck. Danny busted hisself up skateboarding recently, and is now wheelchair bound for a few weeks, and needs our help. All Cavlacade proceeds will go to Danny and his family. Standby for a lineup!

8/1/06 - That's right, last week's (July 29) Cavalcade was a freakin' fantastic, bad ass blowout! The BEST Cavalcade yet, in my humble but informed opinion. The Millstones, doing our second show, were much more relaxed and confident this time around. Mike Stinson was positively mind blowing. How can this guy have so many great songs?!? And that BAND. Jeeze man, Rick Shea was possessed by all the Telecaster demons. He was just ridiculous. I was planning on missing Tony Gilkyson, but Rick really stepped up and threw in his own flavor to Mike's songs. Totally different from what Tony usually does, but just as great in a different way. I got to talking to Rick at the break. What a cool guy. Man, another nice guy with oodles of talent. And Mike was gracious and humble as per usual. It was really a pleasure to sit there through two great sets and hear all these great tunes one right after another. Very inspiring and a great thrill to bring Mr. Stinson to the attention of the uninitiated out in Claremont. A great night all around. The next Cavalcade is going to be Sat., November 4, so mark yer calendars now. I have a few things brewing that could be great. Stand by ... XoXO, MR.

5/19/06 - The April 8 Cavalcade was really, really great. Randy Weeks had a different band than I'd ever seen him with, and sounded a lot different than usual, but was still fantastic. I missed Tony G though! Anyway, thanks to Randy and crew for making the trek to Claremont. It seems as though the Cavalcade is really growing up now ... Sniff ... and I'm really proud of what we've been able to accomplish on our little stage in the boonies. By the way, you'll want to be sure and clear the decks for the Summer '06 Cavalcade, set for July 29. It'll be another kickass show, featuring Mike Stinson and the Millstones!

3/14/06 - The April 8 Mick Rhodes and His Cavalcade of Unknowns show is going to be amazing. I have finally lured one of my favorite singer/songwriters in the world, Randy Weeks, to the Press. Randy's songs have been covered by my hero Lucinda Williams, among others, and his band features the ungodly guitar skills of one Tony Gilkyson (Lone Justice, X), as well as drummer Mike Stinson (who on his own is LA's unofficial king of honky-tonk). In fact, all three - Randy, Tony and Mike - have new records out this week! They're playing SXSW now, and I'm really thrilled and honored to have Randy playing my little Cavalcade. AS A BONUS, my brand new band, The Millstones, is opening the show! This band leans toward the country rawk side of things, and features the great Sir Douglas Baker (master of the Fender Jazz, former Red Brigadeer who played that impossible bass line on "The Blind Cannot Perceive") on bass, Jake Smith (the only man on earth to be in a liberty spiked mohawked vegetarian anarchist punk band (Crucifix) AND appear on Soul Train!) on drums, and Greg Durschlag (he of LA protopunks The Weasels, remember "Beat Her With a Rake"?!?) playing the hell out of his Telecaster and various lap steel guitars. I will be singing (Jake sings a couple too!) and plunking the six string as well. All new original songs, save one extremely unlikely cover. For more info on Randy check out his Website www.randyweeks.com. Mike Stinson's Site is www.mikestinson.net, and Tony Gilkyson's is www.tonygilkyson.com. This show's going to be a killer. I've seen Randy about 10 times at the Cinema Bar in Culver City and have never walked away anything less than inspired, sweaty and slightly tipsy. Tell your friends, your mother in law, tell everybody, Mick Rhodes and His Cavalcade of Unknowns takes over the Press in Claremont once again on Sat. April 8! Click here for info, address, etc., for the Press. This show is going to be a religious experience. I guaran-damn-tee it or your full admission price will be refunded!

3/14/06 - If anybody saw Human Therapy flyers on the Veronica Mars show it's news to me. I tried to watch it but my head felt like it was turning to flan so I stopped. Anyway, maybe someday I'll post a still of a flyer sighting if I ever get one ...

2/21/06 - Well, the Veronica Mars episode will air either this Wednesday, Feb. 22, or next Wednesday, March 1, so sayeth the show's producers ...

1/31/06 – Human Therapy will be featured on the UPN show “Veronica Mars” in February … In a way. I’d LOVE to say we will be performing, or that they are using some of our songs, but the truth is they are using some of our flyers in the background of what I assume will be some sort of gritty punk rock or rock ‘n’ roll-y scene. It’s a small thing to most of the rest of the world, and I’m not even sure if our flyers will read on camera, but when your band has been all but ignored for 26 years, you take what you can get. The show will air either Wednesday, Feb. 15 or Feb. 22. I’ll post more when I find out the date. I know nothing about this show, but they apparently lead exciting lives. Here’s what the UPN Website says:

“In the wealthy, seaside community of Neptune, the rich and powerful make the rules. They own the town and the high school, and desperately try to keep their dirty little secrets just that, secret. Unfortunately for them, there's Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell), a smart, fearless 18-year-old apprentice private investigator dedicated to solving the town's toughest mysteries.”

Sheesh! I wish Glendora High had been that exciting! More later. XoX, MR.

1/30/06 – The Spring ’06 Cavalcade is going to be stellar. This time I have the pleasure of bringing the great Randy Weeks to the Press. Randy’s songs have been covered by Lucinda Williams, among others, and his band features LA guitar legend Tony Gilkyson (Lone Justice, X) and honky-tonk hero in his own right Mike Stinson. Check out Randy’s Website for more info. I know the word “Cavalcade” implies a bunch of bands or performers, but trust me, all you’ll need is Randy this night. Seeing this band live, as I’ve done about 11 times at the Cinema Bar in Culver City, is an experience much like going to Rock ‘n’ Roll Church. If you walk away from this show uninspired, you ain’t listenin’.

12/13/05 - Lucienne Rae Rhodes was born Dec. 3, 9 lbs. 5 oz. (!), healthy, sleepy, hungry and cute.

11/22/05 - Don't miss the Flamethrowers this Saturday night, Nov. 26, at Characters in Pomona! I'm not playing this show, but the other hooligans will all be there. Check out www.myspace.com/theflamethrowers for more info or see the flyer on the Flyers page (Flamethrowers tab) here at humantherapy.com ... XoXoX MR.

11/21/05 - Rick Honacker's memorial is set for Dec. 3 in Las Vegas. See above for details ... RIP our friend Rick ...

11/14/05 - Sad, sad news today: Rick Honacker passed away last Saturday after a heart attack. Rick was one of the really nice guys in this world, always smiling, joking and lending a hand. I met Rick at Glendora High when I was 17 and he was 18. He had a great sense of humor and never took himself too seriously - a rare quality that is severely underrated. He was one of the first kids to support Human Therapy, showing up at all our gigs, parties and even our rehearsals. He never asked for a thing and was never anything but completely selfless and supportive. I'll always remember his laconic drawl, his laugh and his ever-present flannel shirt. He was a sweet guy and a great friend. We will miss him. Dammit ... I don't have word yet on a memorial. More later. Xo ... MR.

10/25/05 - BIG news here: With a bit of luck, Human Therapy's long lost unreleased Dr. Dream recordings are going to be remixed and released in 2006! There is a catch though: I'm not sure how many of our five unreleased tracks are on the 2" tape I have. I'll have to wait 'til mid-November when I get in the studio to see what's there. It'll be like musical archeology. My hope is all five tracks are there and I can finally remix them and remaster all the other stuff ... and maybe release a new Human Therapy record sometime in 2006! It'll be complicated but fun, and it will all be worth it if these songs will finally be able to see the light of day. I'll post more once I've uncovered what is on the 2" tape. XooOX MR.

10/23/05 - Last night's show at the Press was GREAT! A sincere thanks to everybody who made the trek out to Claremont. Human Therapy was on FIRE and we really had a blast blasting through 20+ songs in 45 minutes, including a brand new one, "Where I Belong." Red Brigade was a ferocious punk rock beast, as per usual, and the Stereotypes were garage rockin' cavemen superstars. I'll be posting photos from the show and other stuff SOON so check on back. Doctor Dream Dave Hayes showed up all the way from the badlands of Arizona and left us a stack of original Human Therapy records (both the EP and single), which we passed out to a few lucky folks. I still have several, so if anyone out there doesn't yet own either of our seven-inchers, just get in touch with me and we'll see if we can't remedy that right soon like. Also on the way here at humantherapy.com is a batch of new flyers from Ben Brown (thanks Ben!) and some new photos from Mr. Hayes. We also hace a very rare (I haven't seen it in 20 years!) low budget video of HT's "No More" shot by HT bassist Sergio Jiminez's late brother Andrew posted on the homepage and on the mp3/contact/link page. Thanks again to everybody that was there last night and CHECK BACK SOON for more photos and flyers! XOxooX MR.

10/19/05 - I have received word that the elusive Dave Hayes, he of Dr. Dream Records and now a AM radio talk show host, will be attending the show on Oct. 22 AND will be bringing a couple boxes of Human Therapy's EP and single to pass out to the audience! First come first served!!! MR.

10/15/05 - We will be debuting a NEW HUMAN THERAPY SONG for the first time in ... 19 years(!) on Saturday ... We've been meaning to write new songs but they just hadn't come ... we should have a b-side for this single by 2011 or 2018.

10/15/05 - Hey, the Human Therapy show next weekend (Sat., Oct. 22) at the Press coincides with Claremont's "Village Venture Days," which means you can stock up on homemade craft fair items such as pot holders and cat calendars, then stroll over to the Press at 9 p.m. for some HT. It's only rock 'n' roll!

10/10/05 - Check out the Photos page to see Kent State stuff! More to be uploaded later ... XooOx, MR.

10/9/05 - Well the Wasted Aftermath show at Characters in Pomona last night was a trip: the place was only about 1/3 full and the headliners - the Weirdos - cancelled. Nonetheless, us old guys in Kent State had a blast. Playing with Ed, Doug, Kurt and Eric is so much fun. These guys are just a ferocious unit. It was crazy to see Danny and Blaze out there slamdancing while we were playing!! I felt bad for the guys in Gold Blade, who came all the way from the UK to play ... a 1/3 full bar in Pomona ... I unfortunately had to miss the Angry Samoans - again - which makes me 0 for about 11 in trying to see this band over the past 25 years! Great to see Vince for the first time in about 15 years. He's in Body Count now! Thanks to Joe, Joey Mad Parade and the Infamous Kurt Ross and everybody else that worked on the show. Too bad it was poorly attended ... MR.

10/7/05 - Don't miss Human Therapy Sat., Oct. 22 at the Press in Claremont, CA! HT's only show of 2005 happens at 9 p.m. sharp. The Press is located at 129 Harvard Ave. You can get directions at www.thepressrestaurant.com. Also appearing are the great Red Brigade and an amazing new band from San Diego, The Stereotypes ... Hope to see you there. If you don't go, there's always our next show, which should be sometime in the next few years ... XoX, MR.

10/7/05 - There's a great show this weekend at Characters in Pomona. I'm playing guitar with Kent State, of "Radio Moscow" fame, at the "Wasted Aftermath Show." We're playing with the f-in' Weirdos (!), Angry Samoans, Texas Terri and others. We go on at 8 p.m. You can get more info at www.51buckingham.com. I'll post photos of this show later. It should be a total punk rock gore fest. XXo, MR.
